Toronto Eaton Centre has for decades been known as the
ultimate place to shop while in and around the city. Boasting in excess of 230 shops, services and eateries, it is flush
with something to appease even the most obscure tastes and desires. I have long shopped there while in the city. It has
always been a great meeting spot to get things started.
One
of my favourite memories as a child was walking through the spectacular vaulted glass roofed atrium and thinking that the
Canadian Geese sculptures suspended from the ceiling were actually flying. Both my parents have reminded me of it often,
as they used to laugh about it.
We attended the Urban Eatery this past weekend for a Toronto
tweet-up and sampled some of the wonderful food selections they have to offer. The Urban Herbivore was my restaurant of
choice where I ordered a very scrumptious BLT on white, fresh Greek Salad and a bottled water. A nice alternative to the
typical burgers, and subs that I usually order.

About a year ago now, Toronto Eaton Centre underwent a $120 million dollar facelift to modernize itself and to bring forth state of the art features and attractions,
the least of which is their new food court, now known as the Urban Eatery.
The Urban Eatery has been designed around a more metropolitan feel with a little something for everyone. Food selection ranges from
the basic fare to the more upscale and eclectic selections such as authentic Japanese, popular Indian or savory Thai cuisine.
This past weekend, shoppers in the Urban
Eatery were treated to entertainment for the children with a magician and clown as well as a craft station where the children
in attendance were occupied for hours.
