We have all had those days when we wake up, look into the mirror and are horrified to see the large
spot that has decided to take up residence on our chin, cheek or forehead. Not only is it embarrassing, but also annoying,
as most of us have a pretty religious regimen when it comes to our facial cleaning. I, for one, have never gone to bed at
night without removing my makeup and or glasses or contact lenses. I think that is because we all know the consequences we
face for that one little mistake.
I can honestly
say that as a woman of 40 plus, I am thrilled with my skin and how it seems to be holding up with all the strife and stress
it goes through on a daily basis. As a mother of 4, it can get pretty hectic in my household. That is not to say that I
am not working on my complexion on a daily basis, because that would be a lie if I told you it was all natural and that I
did not have to work at it.
There was however
a time, many years ago when acne and an oily complexion was a problem. I think that we learn to set the tone very early on
in our teen years. You either get into the routine of properly cleaning your skin and rewarding it for staying so nice or
you will suffer the consequences of those unsightly zits and pimples showing up unannounced. I even hate the word "zits,"
it sounds so dirty.
With a 14 year old who
is just getting into that phase of her life, it is imperative that I give her the opportunities and lessons that were instilled
in me early on. I am showing her how to properly clean her face both at night before bed and in the morning before school.
Showers take place in the evening before bed, as there is no time for that in the morning. This makes proper facial cleansing
ever more important.
We have begun to use
a series of OXY brand products such as the Natural Action Daily Facial Cleanser. She used it for the very first time a couple
of weeks ago and immediately said her face felt sparkly and was tingling. I told her that just proves it is working to make
her skin pretty. I must say it was easier to get her using it than I thought it was going to be. I remember the grief I
used to give my mother when I was a child. Thank god my mom stuck at it and convinced me to look after myself as I would
appreciate it more when I was her age. Hopefully she will continue to look after her skin so as not to endure the annoyance
that acne and skin problems can cause. We have also tried the Triple Action Daily Facial Cleanser that contains Provitamin
B5.
Just last week, I tried one of the products
myself. I awoke to find that I had a pimple starting to appear. I decided to try the OXY Emergency Acne Vanishing Spot Gel.
I was attending an event in the city that evening and thought to myself, let's see if this stuff does what it claims. 9
hours later, while in the restroom touching up my makeup, I was thrilled to notice that the pimple had not amounted to anything.
I can only attribute it to the fact that I used the Spot Gel as early on as I had. Preventative measures worked again.
I encourage you to give the OXY brand products a try. You will not be disappointed. I have
tried them and they work.
